SUKA
We’re two sisters from Amsterdam. Rosan lives on Lombok, Sophie designs in Amsterdam. Together, we started SUKA.
SUKA means ‘to love’ in Indonesian and that’s exactly what we do. We love crochet, we love colour and we love Lombok.
Inspired by this tropical island, we design unique accessories. Each piece is made slowly, fairly and with love. No mass production, but just pretty handcrafted items made to last. Because good things take time.

The Women Behind SUKA
MIA
Mia is a Lombok local with a passion for fashion and a talent for crochet. She has been crocheting beautiful pieces for years, and she’s the one who brings our designs to life. But she does much more than that. Mia teaches other women in her village and shares her skills.
Every SUKA piece is made with patience, love and pride. And just as important: every maker receives a fair wage for her work. By working together, we create not just beautiful products, but opportunities for women to support themselves and their families.

SUKA'S
WORLD
We believe in a world where fashion is fun, fair and meaningful. SUKA’s mission is to create beautiful, handmade accessories that bring joy, while offering fair and honest work to talented women in Lombok. We work slowly, pay fairly and always choose quality over quantity

SLOW FASHION
At SUKA, we do things differently. We don’t believe in overproduction, quick trends or waste. Instead, we work with small, carefully made collections. Every piece is crocheted by hand, using techniques passed down through generations.
We work at island pace, without rush. This isn’t fast fashion. It’s very slow fashion, exactly how it should be.
SUKA brings colour to your look and purpose to your wardrobe. Fair, conscious, and sustainable. What’s not to love?
